About Me
I am a Pensacola native with 17 years experience in mental health and working with adults, children and families.
My own personal journey began at Pensacola State College in 2001 where I took a Psychology class as an elective and became hooked! The human mind and behaviors are so fascinating to me and I wanted to know more about why people do what they do. I received my Bachelor’s in Psychology in 2006 from the University of West Florida. After moving with the military and starting a family, I received my Master’s in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA in 2013.
I have a passion for working with pre-teens and adolescents. I feel this is such a challenging time for kids and parents alike. Being a parent myself I also personally know the struggles that families can face during this time. Parent/child relationships are stressful and can be negatively affected, but can most definitely be repaired!
In addition to pre-teens, I’ve worked with numerous populations to include children and families in a school setting, adults and children in a private practice, incarcerated adults, children and families in the social services system and more. My dynamic experience has given me a great deal of knowledge in many areas and has continued to grow my love for working with others in such a close capacity. I am Licensed in the state of Florida as a mental health counselor.
